Welkom to Language Flow

Language training with vision, dedication and personal attention

We are Mark and Daria, founders of Language Flow. Our passion for language, learning and people is at the heart of this school. Our story begins 21 years ago in Barcelona, where we met. Since then, we have lived and worked in various countries, until we settled in the Netherlands in 2007. We are now the proud parents of two children and the driving force behind Language Flow.

Daria has always had a special love for languages. She studied and lived in five different languages – Romanian, English, Spanish, Catalan and Dutch – and knows from her own experience what it feels like to start over in a new country. After years of experience as a museum teacher, she followed her heart in 2021 and started teaching Dutch and English to expats and migrant workers. In 2023, she obtained her diploma as a certified NT2 teacher at the Hogeschool Utrecht. She is currently completing her training as a Spanish teacher at the Instituto Cervantes in Utrecht.

Mark has worked as a consultant in the past and has extensive experience in giving training and seminars in the field of Python, Excel programming, cultural differences in the workplace, database and trading. His analytical skills and teaching experience are a valuable addition to our shared mission.

At Language Flow, two different visions come together that complement each other perfectly. Daria believes in the power of interaction, play and spontaneity – you learn language by doing, talking and laughing together. Mark starts from structure, logic and construction – language has rules and systems that provide support. Together, these approaches form the core of our school: a place where learning is not only effective, but also fun. Our lessons combine lively conversations and practical exercises with clear explanations and a well-thought-out learning path. This creates a natural flow in which students grow with confidence – step by step and with fun.

Together we decided to bundle our expertise, experiences and ideals in Language Flow – a language school that not only transfers knowledge, but really gets people moving.

Our vision

We believe that language is a powerful tool for connection, independence and personal growth. Whether it is having a conversation with colleagues, understanding a work instruction or participating in social life in the Netherlands – language opens doors. It enables people to feel fully-fledged and to actively participate in the society or organization in which they find themselves.

Language is not a goal in itself, but a means to be able to function meaningfully. That is why Language Flow focuses on the active use of language in practical, recognizable situations.

What do we offer?

Language Flow offers language training in Dutch, English, Spanish and Romanian, tailored to the level, background and objectives of the participants. We focus on both companies and private clients, with tailor-made solutions that fit every situation:

Special courses for highly educated people, with a focus on academic and professional communication

Each course at Language Flow is built around four core skills: speaking, listening, reading and writing. In addition, attention is paid to grammar, pronunciation, culture, intonation and reflection – always applied to the daily life or work situation of the participant.
